Brownies are one of my favorite desserts. Here is my favorite recipe and it's very easy to make it, especialy for the beginners. I've done it a number of times and the outcome has always been very tasty. In total it took me about 20 min to do the dough and 30 min to cook it.

Ingredients:

240g of dark chocolate (I like to use 200g of dark chocolate and 40g of milk chocolate, because then it's not so bitter)

340g of butter

700g of white sugar

6 eggs

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

240g of flour

250g chopped walnuts (optional)

The original recipe can be found here (but it's in Estonian):

Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a 24x24 cm cake tin with baking paper. Melt the butter and chocolate in a water bath (you can also use a microwave). Add sugar (I usually put abot 500g of sugar because otherwise it will be too sweet), vanilla extract and eggs one at a time while mixing. Add the flour and nuts and mix until completely smooth. Pour the dough into the cake mold and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes (do not overbake). The finished brownies must be slightly cracked, dry on the outside and pleasantly soft on the inside. I like to cut them to squares and eat them warm with cold vanila ice cream.

Here's also a video of the recipe and pictures of the final look:
