Now I’ll share with you the secret recipe, which has been passed on for 4 generations, from my Great-grandmother to my grand-mother, from my grandmother to my mother and from my mother to me.

The ingredients of my Secret Cake:

I packet of anniversary cake powder (Vilma or Tartu Mill)

2 tablespoons of flour

500g of curd (vanilla paste)

250g sour cream

2/3 glass of sugar

2 eggs

125g of butter

Recipe:

Use a detachable baking dish. I have a baking dish with a diameter of 26 cm.

Part I: mix 2 tablespoons of flour with anniversary cake powder. Later you will mentally need to divide this into 3 parts.

Part II: mix 2 eggs with sugar and curd. Add sour cream. Later you will mentally need to divide this into 2 parts.

Part III: Melt butter. Later you will mentally need to divide this into 4 parts. The following part will now look like a math problem, but I’m sure you will manage it:

Take 1/3 of part I ingredients and spread it on the bottom of the baking dish. Drizzle ¼ of the melted butter on it (part III). Add ½ of part II ingredients (mixture with curd). Now the first layer of the cake is done and the second one needs to be done. For this, add 1/3 of part I ingredients (flour mix) on top of the curd mixture and then add ¼ of melted butter (part III). Now it’s time to add the last portions of all the parts. In other words, pour gently the last ½ part of Part II ingredients (mixture with curd), then add the last 1/3 of the Part I ingredients (flour mix) and top everything with the remaining (2/4) of the melted butter. Always add every layer gently so that you do not mix up the different layers.

Bake the cake in an oven (180C) for about 40-50 minutes. The cake will swell a lot and the top surface should be slightly browned.

Here are some pictures of the progress in correct order and the final look:
